What’s the difference between Microsoft 365 and Office 365?
Microsoft renamed Office 365 to Microsoft 365 in 2020. Same product family, broader name. The newer “Microsoft 365” branding includes the Office apps plus the cloud services (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange, security tools). If someone’s still saying “Office 365”, they’re talking about the same thing.
How much does Microsoft 365 cost for a small business?
Tiers run from around $10/user/month (Business Basic, with web and mobile apps, email, OneDrive) to $35/user/month (Business Premium, with desktop apps, advanced security, and mobile management). Most small businesses we work with end up on Business Standard ($21/user/month) or Business Premium ($35/user/month) depending on whether they need the security layer. We help you pick the right one. Most businesses we audit are on the wrong tier.
Do I need to migrate from Google Workspace to use Microsoft 365?
If you’re already on Google Workspace, you can keep using it, they do similar jobs. Most businesses we move from Google to Microsoft do it because they want the desktop Office apps, deeper integration with Windows laptops, or better identity/security tooling. The migration takes a weekend for most teams.
Will Microsoft Copilot save my team time, or is it overhyped?
Yes, but selectively. Copilot in Outlook (email summarisation and drafting) and Teams (meeting recap) saves real time for most users. Copilot in Word and PowerPoint is useful for first drafts. Copilot in Excel is hit-and-miss on real business data. We help you roll out the parts that work and skip the parts that aren’t ready.
Can you help with the Microsoft 365 questions in an insurance questionnaire?
We strengthen sign-ins, email protection, data handling and audit records, then document what is in place. We do not advise on insurance cover or guarantee that a particular policy or application will be accepted.
Can you help us migrate without taking the business offline?
For most small businesses, yes. Email migration runs in the background while you keep working. The actual cutover happens overnight or over a weekend. Files are migrated incrementally. Most businesses are back at full pace on Monday morning.
